Freequently Asked Question
We are a virtual office and licensed in New York. Virtual therapy lets you connect with us from anywhere using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Sessions take place using a secure, private platform and are structured just like regular in-person appointments.
Sessions are typically 55 minutes long. We usually begin by meeting weekly, which provides the best foundation for early progress on your goals. As you grow and reach important milestones, we may discuss shifting to biweekly appointments to help you maintain your progress moving forward. Throughout this process, you’ll always receive honest feedback and collaboration about your schedule and what’s best for your continued growth.
Give us a call at 203-350-2527 or email us at admin@thepowertohealllc.com. We can chat via email and schedule the appointment then. Or you can select the Book Now button on the website and schedule your initial appointment.
Therapy is one of the most important investments you can make in yourself. We believe in results that will serve you for years into the future as you reflect on the significant work you’ve done, and breakthroughs you made during our sessions. Therapy with us is your private, confidential time to explore and work through the barriers that otherwise would have remained in your way.
We offer both out-of-pocket/private pay and insurance options. Our private rate varies between $175-$350 per session for individuals. We sometimes have a sliding scale available, so please inquire.
We accept credit card, debit card, cash, check, and HSA/FSA/HRA benefits.
We do not accept insurance, but we can give you a superbill to submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement.

When we set our therapy schedule, we reserve that time for you and prepare weekly for our work together to be as effective as possible. Communication is critical for avoiding late cancellations, as we would much rather see you than bill a missed session! If you need to cancel a session, we ask that you provide us a minimum of 48-hours’ prior notice.
We always prefer to attempt to reschedule that week’s session rather than simply cancel and skip that week’s work altogether. Please contact us to work together to see what other availability we have, as we’ll make every attempt to fit you in elsewhere if we can.
No-shows and sessions canceled in less than 48-hours will be billed the full fee.

We work with people of all genders, ages 18 and older.
Our method targets specific techniques to address the concern or challenge, and we use evidence-based practices on what you present in the session. We base this on collaboration with you, our knowledge of how therapies have been shown to work in research and with other clients, and other factors.

That will depend on your needs and goals. Some people stay for a few months, and others stay for a year or more. We’ll decide together.
